Class Description:Embark on an enlightening journey with this hands on workshop, designed for both beginners and those with some experience in food preservation. This class offers an in-depth exploration of the timeless methods of pickling, dehydrating, and fermenting a variety of foods. Canning methods related to these topics will over be covered.

Guided by skilled instructors, you'll delve into each preservation technique, learning how these methods not only extend the shelf life of foods but also enhance their flavors and nutritional value. Understand the critical role of temperature, moisture, and time in these processes and how they contribute to food safety and quality.

This interactive workshop provides a hands-on learning experience, allowing you to actively participate in preparing a range of foods using these methods. At the end of the class, each participant will take home 1 quart and 1 pint of the foods they've personally prepared, showcasing the skills they've acquired. The types of foods selected for pickling, dehydrating, and fermenting will be chosen based on the availability of fresh, seasonal ingredients to ensure the highest quality in your creations.

Through a combination of practical application and imaginative exploration, our instructors will guide you through various recipes and techniques, empowering you to bring your unique touch to each preserved item. Completing this course will equip you with the confidence and skills necessary to pickle, dehydrate, and ferment foods safely at home, producing delightful and high-quality preserved goods.   2. Discounted Rate for Students and Members - $15: This ticket provides students and members with the same full-participation experience at a reduced rate. They will engage in all class activities and take home their self-prepared preserved foods.
  3. Free Observation Ticket: Available at no cost, this ticket is perfect for those who prefer to learn by observation. Attendees can watch the preservation process, gaining valuable insights into pickling, dehydrating, and fermenting techniques and practices, without participating in the hands-on activities.
